I have never taken apart a Liberty, Patriot, or the like, but I have worked with them. What controller does Whelen use for it's T/A functions (the two wire one). I'm thinking about getting a Edge Duplex and converting it to an LED Freedom. Will the halogen T/A module work for LED's? Also, can you flash the 500 and 700 LED modules with a Sho-Me flasher or does it need the actual control board? Thanks!!

It is a function of the LC I/O Board. That would be a pretty big board to try to squeeze into an Edge :twocents:

EDIT: The whole bar is controlled by the same I/O Board.

To answer your other question. On the earlier version of leds some where ballast controlled, so if they are not then, yes you can use a sho-me flasher. If they are smart heads put them on steady burn.
