Whelen WCC92

Does anybody have any experience with the Whelen WCC92? I bought it to replace my billing system. I’m gonna be connecting it to a legacy solo (red) with TA. It doesn’t appear to require an ECM or other type of control module/power supply I believe because it’s low current. Are these things pretty decent for simple customization/presets? I purchased the WCC92 SM swivel mount for the dash seems like it’s gonna be a good set up. Can only control one auxiliary bar at a time or can I power other existing lights on my rig?

Do you know if your Legacy bar has the 15-foot thick power cable or just a small data pair coming out of the base? This will tell us if you need that extra power module.

It has both

If that Legacy has both the thick power cable and the thin data pair, you’re in luck, that’s a WeCan bar with 'Input' capability.

The liberty 2 is the same. It draw direct 12v and can be controlled by the wcc92 using DIP switch defaults.

You are very correct. Using the DIP switches inside the lightbar's I/O board is the secret to making this a 'no-software' install. By setting those switches, you can tell the bar to 'listen' for the specific serial commands coming from your WCC92 without needing to plug in a laptop and program a complex WeCan configuration.

That’s great to hear! We’re looking forward to seeing how that Liberty II and WCC92 look once they’re mounted, those custom console setups are always the best part of a build.
