Better than 50% of our callouts are at night. That being said I had a real problem seeing all of my gear with the stock, crummy interior lights, that most manufacturers put into their vehicles nowadays. So I decided to bite the bullet and ordered a few of Whelen's 6 diode Striplight compartment lights. And all I can say is Hoooooly Crap!!! These things work great and are definitely worth the money. What does everyone else think? Anybody know of any other manufacturers making these types of lights. All I could find was Maxxima and they were even a little more expensive.

I think this would be better to put in the installs thread, but damn i will be ordering a couple of those!

Street price and where you bought them? That would be a great alternative to the craptastic dome lights they installed in my tech truck - one trip down a gravel road and the 1157 bulbs are hosed from the vibrations :(

I had the same problem as you and put in the same 2 Whelen 6 diode stripe lights. I love them and never have a problem locating my gear. I will post a pic tomorrow. I think I paid $100 each
