Where to mount a speaker in a new body style Ford Explorer? Non-Police Model

Where can I mount the speaker in a new body style non-police Ford Explorer? In the center grill would be a good location but it is too hard to takeoff without breaking the clips that hold the grill in place. There is a smaller section under the center grill that would be ideal but again it is too hard to get too without the proper knowledge and equipment to disassemble everything. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I take the whole bumper cover off, easy job, only takes a few minutes.

I prefer the center grill bracket that mounts under the hood latch bracket. The other bracket I have used mounts the speaker in front of the drivers front wheel splash panel, the speaker is protected from the elements but sounds muffled to me.

Thank you for that great input. How do you takeoff the bumper cover though? I am new to this Explorer and know that usually you have to take one piece off to get to another piece and etc.

Open Hood Remove the (7) 10mm bolts along the outer front of the grill remove the two push pin fasteners just in side from those......move to driver side front of tire remove (4) 5.5mm screws then slightly pull the trim outward to reveal 2 more 5.5 mm screws repeat on passenger side then along the bottom there will be a total of (10) 8mm bolts undo these, then go to the driver side front of tire and pull outward between the splash shiels and the bumper cover.

Thank you guys SO MUCH for that information. Tomorrow I will definitely get this done. Now last question I promise. The only thing left other than the speaker installation is running the primary wires to the brains located under the drivers seat. Where is the best place to run the wires through the firewall? I am having a difficult time finding a big enough plug in the fire wall to add the wires. Most of the holes are either plugged and sealed or are too hard to reach from up under the dash and behind the engine under the hood. This would complete my install finally!!! Then I can take a video of it all.

passenger side where dash meets floor board reach up in there you will feel a grommet on a flat ledge....easily seen if you remove the passenger side wheel and inner fender shield

I remove passenger side a piller plastic. The push down the rubber cover just below the windshield. I drill 1/2" hole about 4 inches down on the painted metal below windshield and the push wire through a grommet through firewall and it exits behind the plastic shield under the wiper cowl.

I also have a speaker bracket for the new utility.
