Acquired a surplus TD56 unit from the county radio shop to install on the rear of our FD water tender. It is a version CC1, ser no. 7813786. The radio shop can't find any install sheets on it. Seeking a pdf or photos of appropriate info. Also, this unit appears to be intended for installation inside a rear deck/window or lightbar, and not on the exterior of a vehicle. Is that correct?

Do you have any photos of the unit? It should be a 14 head unit with 6 wires in the harness. It might be a California model. If for some reason you want to sell/trade it I might be interested.

These are the only ones I took for ID purposes. We're going to try to use it on the water tender vehicle for now.

Ok, I just didn't want to give you the wrong information. I have not seen that model in a non weatherized version so I was curious as to why you thought it was not. That and the wiring are why I was looking for photos. If it is not weatherized but you need one to be is why I offered to trade buy it.

They shouldn't have an issue soldering on wires to extend the cable and the wiring pdf Tony posted should get ya running. If you run into an issue where a module is out just let us know. Troubleshooting is easy, the solution could go either way.

Would love to see photos of the completed install!
