Welcome. Things have died down a bit around here but still some good advice and a few good knowledgable folks on here.

Can't figure out why they went with the vision, the Edge and Whelen bars were superior in my opinion.

Don't recall all the details but it was a decent looking bar, had 2 yellow alternating flashers in the rear.

Yes, I too prefer the older whelen tones from the 80s. The higher pitched.. while they get more attention, have been so overused, they are boring.

I really liked these back in the day. Before my department switched over to the B-Link system they used these for a few years, mostly on 1993 and 1994 vehicles.

That would be correct. My department used a few of these in conjunction with some old Smith and Wesson lightbars in the early to mid 80s.

<sigh> Not a huge fan of it. I can see some others would be, and I respect that, but when it comes to Federal Signal, I want the real deal from the days gone by. Before electronics stepped things up a notch.
