    Whelen Carbide

The “type” of wire doesn’t matter as long as it’s at least 18awg - so not sure why all the CAT5 cable work…

    Whelen Carbide

No need to buy anything - just splice (twist) together each of the 4 wires with the other 4 and then connect to unit (the WeCan port can recognize both individually, as they are data wires). ***I too was confused at first, and never would have assumed on my own that the system could control each...

    Title 13 - California Law

CA T13 has nothing to do with the brand of lights really - but rather than way they are used. Ex: with almost every major brand and the departments they are used in, the end user/up fitter controls HOW (flash patterns) used. . . Like on CantrolWC, Blueprint, Matrix, Pathfinder etc…and to be CA...

What is a true manufacturing company? Is it Code 3/Ecco?

FINALLY! someone else who recognizes the shade-of-blue issue with C3!! Thought I was going crazy! We got a bunch of MR6 dual color lights and then a bunch of Mega Thins and HOLY CRAP - NOT EVEN CLOSE!! The MR6's were the darkest shade of blue (royal blue) that I've ever seen on "big brand"...

    CT State Trooper Cars...

Not quite accurate - the "Cruise lights" are controlled via a button on the Cantrol controller....so they do have the option to leave them off...the STATE POLICE sign too. The controller's have a specific CRUISE button, which is a multi state button that has several different cruise modes...

    Three Color Dummy Heads

Why would you have 6 wires? If you were using on like a CantrolWC you would just need a 4 wire light (one for each color and a ground)….everything else is controlled via the Command software on the CantrolWC

Of all the other q’s, I forgot to ask if anyone knows why they seem to be the only agency that despite being Red driver side and Blue passenger side on front and back then have red on both P&D front and rear-Sides with blue in the middle (2nd row windows)….rather than blue on the Passenger sides...

strobesnmore crescent VS feniex puck input

911 Signal is actually the Chinese equivalent of Whelen or Fed Sig in Asia...so price points for performance are insane (hence why they make several Fed Sig and SOS products - but with their actual branding rather than just as “white label” / distributer like SNM. Brighter than most class 1...

    Carbide with Feniex

That’s because those are “dummy” modules - the internal flasher products don’t work despite having a steady pattern setting.

strobesnmore crescent VS feniex puck input

The Crecents The Crescents are actually made by 911 Signal (China equivalent of Whelen or Fed Sig) and are GREAT. They are actually a bit brighter than the pucks, they have 3 modes, and have a dedicated low power (cruise 50%) wire - which I think is great if your not using the external flasher...

Thanks - and yeah, I only asked because I have seen some, like in GA, the SP there seem to have some Griswald competition going on (who can make their car best seen from space...which looks ridiculous). ***cant seem to load the other one, but this is quite similar to what i’ve seen GASP...

I understand that - it’s like a stencil with clear letters, BUT it woukd seem that that would then reduce output (be apparent) when switched to warning modes because those two inner modules would be less potent due to the non clear parts of the stencils. **Also, since the whole FST does white...

    Whelen Cantrol Gen2 vs Gen3??

yeah - thanks guys, I know which one that we had was now (gen2), but still would like to understand what the difference is between each - especially 2 & 3 (since I know that #1 was programmed via an actual piece of unit specific software vs the current “cloud based” Command version.

I didn't quite follow all you said..... 1. Not sure what I could be offended by...unless you were implying that I was lying (which would indeed be offensive to suggest that ANYONE would be lying about such a thing out of the blue). So, I assume it wasn't that - and that's what I need clarified...

    Whelen Cantrol Gen2 vs Gen3??

Does anyone know what the difference(s) is between Gen2 and Gen3? There doesn't seem to be any information available, and when initiating Whelen Command, it requires you to select between one or the other. I know the original Cantrol is much different, especially in appearance, to the...

Thanks for the answer...and I agree completely - the two Microns in the grille are not sufficient, and the ions on the push bars are single color white (no clue why they would waste $ on single color these days when the duo’s/trio’s are only about $10-$15 more per light). I also think they...

Also forgot to ask a couple questions....does anyone know why the CSP uses Inner Edge Visor lights AND the lightbar..?? Makes sense to have the Rear inner edges for added visibility during stops, but the front doesn’t make any sense. **Pic: XLP Duo inner edge with a Legacy Duo lightbar...

BTW - does anyone know why we have such a diverse range of police lighting ‘standards” within less than a 300 mile area?....NY State: Red/White forward only, and RBA rear —CT State: R/B/W forward (and Amber now) and same rear. — Rhode Island State; Red Only —Mass State: Blue/White only forward...

Whelen Inner Edge FST (dual or Tri Color WeCAN). If the units look extremely low profile and a bit less wide, then they are Whelen Inner Edge XLP Duo WeCAN. Either or, are RW(RWA)/BW(BWA). *My only question is how they get the letters to go away when shifted from the half amber to full warning...
