So I have a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado LS Z85 2wd, standard cab that I have as my personal vehicle. As a Safety and Security Officer, I'm often called to perform inspections pertaining to safety and security, and sometimes even checking up on our security guard teams and security patrols. In some of these cases, I'm forced to park my truck where it could be hit, so ergo the strobes. My company offered to pay half of the cost of any strobes installed and my time to install.
Additionally, a lot of the equipment my in truck is a requirement of or aids my work.
Without further ado, the pictures.
Because I still had to pay for half of the strobe product, I opted for the STL Mini Eclipse. The colors are amber and white. Upon perusing the forum, I know STL is likened to garbage, but it suits my application, and because it's not exposed to the elements, SHOULD survive.
However, I would like to go on record and say that I'm not a fan of STL customer service.
Here's my Ram Mounts Tough Box Console, with a non locking tablet cradle for the Blackberry Playbook I have for work. I'm planning on reconfiguring the console with a loudspeaker/siren (main use for loudspeaker) and a series of switches so I can move my switches to a more central location. I also plan on adding some more equipment later that will be switchable.
I wanted more dome light, so I installed this round LED dome. Future plans are to add another dome light that's red placed overtop the console.
Not exactly related, but I have my Ultragauge mounted on the windshield to monitor engine diagnostics and parameters.
Fire Extinguisher and misc gear (shovel, first aid kit, ratchet straps, extension cord, etc.)
And finally I got a amber/White LED Light bar behind the grille. I got the amber wired in with the DRL and the white wired with the switch. There is a strobing module available to make the colors strobe, but I'm using the bar for extra light.
