his business looks pretty legit. I looked through some of his photos and it looks like he has AF Security Forces escorting him...maybe this car is for escorting his limos. Not sure why he would need it though, unless its just to add attention. I wish this guy would speak up and tell us his side of the story.

The car looks good, lots of hard work and detail. Unfortunatly, it is hard to argue that it was not made as a LE clone, based on the pictures of the real LE car provided. That is what bothers me. Of course, with most of the lighting being legal, and if the siren is indeed disabled, everything is left to the guy being mature and responsible. Though it seems very strange, and is all but impossible to defend the need for a cloned cop car for a private civilian.

Wow. Posting this guy's personal info regardless of wacktastic status is highly inappropriate imo.

Nice setup. I like the console. I couldn't stand having a laptop mounted like that though.

No one has posted anything that can not be readily found online.

This isn't funny or anything dude... It's just freakkin creepy....... Idk about you, but I don't have the time to sit around and study somebody from ELB's life and write up a nice article on it... Very very weird man. Very weird. If you have such a problem with this guy, then take it up with him..... This is just FAR beyond stalking....

I agree, some people take it to far. Nor does this info belong on a public forum.

UHHH....on a "public forum" ?...I like ELB and all but last time I checked they don't quite have the membership Facebook does there pal...so if this guy has all that info about himself on an unlocked open Facebook profile, it's like putting it on every billboard on every highway in the whole country.... :duh: :duh: :duh:

He is apparently the off spring of a medium sized fish in a very small pond. Posting on here has made him realize that he is just a guppy in a large, well-populated ocean. He might be able to impress the folks in Wasilla, but let him drive that thing in the lower 48 and he is going to get himself a set of chrome bracelets....or shot because someone thinks he is the real deal.

I propose a new rule: whenever someone uses the line, "I know I am not supposed to have it, but...", or "I have no legitimate use for it, but...", they have to give every member of this board ten dollars.

Shall we take a vote?

Seems like a pretty good install. I like the bumper mounted "moose lights." Sorta like higher powered headlights... Granted they don't do much for scene lighting... I don't mind the amber and clear lights, if you want lights, have lights... This guy has a legitimate business and has served in the military, I hate to say anything negative about him. That said... putting them on a CVPI is pretty wacker.:) Unless one was in the buisness of private security, and wanted a CVPI for intimidation purposes... I could see that. But in that case I'd probably mark the car with some sort of graphics indicating private ownership (security, etc.) Here in my state I've seen a "Private Patrol" charger done up like this for security use. It was clearly marked "private patrol" though... But was still "intimidating."

Not to play Devil's Advocate, but...

Someone has a lot of money to play with..Im guessing its your car since it looks identical to the older car you have posted as your POV here

Alaska Limousine's ShowCase :: Alaska Limousine -My POV for National Guard Military TDY trips
It's not identical, look at the PB and moose lights and the equipment list.

why would a reserve officer need an eyewitness camera
Why wouldn't anyone need a dash cam in this day and age, to ward off potential law suits!

and traffic preemption?
You're right there, he definitely shouldn't. And did no one else notice that he has an infrared lens on the PPD? IE invisible light triggering the preemption = no get caught using it?

Of course, someone with jurisdiction where this shop is in AK could look up the plate, YYW 932. Valid law enforcement purpose is that someone put a preemption device on a non-emergency vehicle.

Oh come on, no you wouldn't. We both know you lose almost all of it when you mark it with anything like "private" "security" "patrol" "safety" et cetera. You still have the security guard factor, but you lost the "we're watching you" "big brother" factor.

Your argument is lacking at best. Not identical but, the same in theroy Same black car just older, same antenna placement, coincidence?

A reserve officer with no powers off duty would not be able to use police powers, why a camera for poetntial lawsuits? Its an old Eyewitness. I wouldnt trust that system anyway.

IR lens on the preemption or not its still illegal.

The're both 2003 CVPIs. I'm willing to bet he's done more than two 2003 CVPI installs. And of course it's the same antenna placement, why would you change the placement for every install you do when they have the same basic radio setup (bands and number of radios). I wouldn't trust an old eyewitness either, especially with it's narrow field of view, but there is due cause for absolutely anyone and everyone to get a dash cam. Hell, I have two.

I wasn't defending his installation of a preemption device on the vehicle, and I'm not sure how anyone could construe a damning remark about an infrared lens as defending someone.

Well, I have to agree with pretty much everyone on here. The install job is great. It looks very professional, but I smell a......w......w.....whacker!!!! I'm not familiar with all of the laws in Alaska that cover emergency lighting, but it just doesn't make sense that a "reserve" police officer who is "non-Comissioned" would have an amber and clear set up, or a siren that only utilizes the airhorn. If I saw this thing approcahing me from behind, the person driving it would be hard pressed to get me to move out of his/her way if all the lights were activated. Sorry buddy, but you pretty much jumped up in your own defense when you stated that you didn't want people to swamp you with comments about "your clients lights". Reserve police officers (at least where I live) have a RESERVE COMMISSION, which gives them police powers. Here in Washington State, they all drive marked or unmarked patrol cars with exempt plates, and are not usually authorized the use of any emergency lighting on their POV's, at least that's how it is in Washington. Just admit that you like lights, and leave it at that. You seriously can't expect to post stuff like that on here and not be questioned when 99.9% of the forum is comprised of LEO'S!!!

With the antenna farm, push bumper and everything else- why not just put a lightbar on? A 12 year old would ID that thing a half mile away as is...

Firstly, this vehicle is not mine, nor was it ever.

Secondly, I find it very interesting that most members have the need to go looking up personal information to try and put together a "hypothetical puzzle" about my character.

I am indeed a train foamer, as my family has been all hard railroad workers and I grew up with that.

And those who here are LEO's need to be moire professional and stop acting like children.

I do installs as a hobby. Not some thrill to go and play pretend.

Of all the assumptions and crude behavior I have seen thus far, not one of you has PM'd me toobtain facts, yet instead are being cowardice.
