I signed up for the express purpose of discussing the Rumbler. The driver is custom made by Eminence (eminence.com) and is a water resistant, treated fiber cone designed specifically for high moisture environments.

The amplifier contains a frequency divider that consists of a little more than a simple flip flop - but that is its basis. You can find something similar in units called Bass Restoration, Reconstruction or Maximizer devices for $30 or so on eBay. They're designed for making annoying bass boomer cars play even lower by halving the fundamental frequency, but you can use one for this purpose. You will need to modify the onboard low pass filter, but the rest of the guts are there to do the deed.

I'm not available to figure this out for you, but I think your tech guy wouldn't have any trouble doing it.
