Correct, the "guts" are in fact whelen

ok Thanks Everyone for the response.I will think about looking for the correct parts in the near future,as I have always wanted a CJ in my collection .

A totally new CJ 184 will be far cheaper and easier than fixing this one. Sell rare whelen guts and buy a new beacon.

what is a good selling price for the parts ? or would anyone have a CJ they want to trade for the parts ?

Check out John Dorgan's (Sirenman) website. He normally has nice re-conditioned CJ-184's available for immediate sale. Don't waste your money on this butcher job!

Maybe $25 for the guts, $20 for the shell.
