Holy crap! I kinda like the looks of lightbars instead of tomato plants in the garden, they just don't taste as good.

do all the mx7000 bars have 2 blue filters in the center to the rear in the arrowstick? if so thats odd those are 6 hole filters and they arent as easy to get ahold of, if they are all that way were they a special order?

90% of the bars have the blue in the center. No sure what type filter, I'll check tomorrow.

Yes, the blue are 6 hole filters. Not sure if they were special ordered..

I will be parting some of these bars out. So, I WILL have MX parts, and Jet parts, including amber jet filters.

It wasn't a special order. East nay parks just asked that 2 blue be put in the middle and not amber. That way in flash mode they would have amber and blue. Menlo park Pd also did the same thing

I wonder about the logic in placing a diagonal mirror in the same spot as the forward and rear facing fixed lamps. :weird:


Can't see that such an arrangement would even help with corner lighting.

In the process of putting a FOURTH vintage piece of


fire apparatus in service! This one is a 6-man walk-in


medium squad, fully equipped. Am restoring the lighting


package to what was originally on the vehicle (saw a


few photos of it with the noriginal lighting).


SOoooooo................


I got a 72" TwinSonic (3 section bar) to go at the


top of the squad box (the original had been removed)


This bar even has TWO speakers in it (one in each


grille section)!


And I got it for the HUGE price of..................


$0! (yessss!)


And it's all complete and working! Just have to clean


it and mount it! Also picked up a spare set of red


TwinSonic lenses for the rear bar (standard size) for


the same HUGE price!


It's GOOD to have connections in the biz!


Will post pics of the vehicle after all the re-lettering


and cleaning is done.


Can't wait to remove the MX7K that is on it right now.

Umm...I don't think that post goes in this thread...but okay. The lightbar you have is not a Twinsonic as they were not made in 3 sections. What you most likely have is a Code 3 SD bar. I forget the exact model name, maybe a Triple Threat(?).
