I have since changed the setup a little bit. Instead of having clears to the front (was a big distraction at night or dusk) I swapped those out with the ambers that were in my cargo lights. I am now using the clears for the cargo lights, which work well as semi scene lights.

is it pronounced FEN-ex or more like Phoenix?

And thanks to all the feedback on their products, they are likely who I will be using in the future. Can't wait.

Perfect timing on this, as I was just looking at Cannons versus Vertex's earlier this week for a HAW install in the backup lights of a 2000 Ford Expedition (in amber). I have one question, and I apologize if the videos would have answered this (I am at work and the agency firewall blocks the videos).

With the Cannons being 'flat-faced', how well does the light fill the reflector? The likely mounting will be interior of the backup bulb, so the HAW will be facing outward at about a 45-90 degree angle, and not towards the reflector. Do the diodes protrude enough to throw light into the reflector, or would I be better off with a protruding HAW?

I think they do pretty good considering all the installs I've seen on here. I really don't think you would be disappointed.

The light output being 12 4-watt LED helps make up for the flatter design. They do really well.

I'd like to buy a couple to try. R/W and a B/W. Where's the best place to purchase from? Maybe folks can PM me a price?

Note that I'm in Canada so if you can ship US Post that'd be appreciated. It's too expensive to ship/broker 2 lights in via UPS.

There are Canadian vendors. However, two cannons fit nicely in a small flat rate envelope form usps.

Yep, thanks- only 1 that's English-speaking, though, and I've tried to contact them a couple times.

Hey guys just figured I would let yall know the three mode cannons are now in production and shipping.

Any literature on this? I'm assuming we still only get 2 colors max on the light head, but I'm not seeing anything on the manufacturer website and hardly anywhere else is acknowledging they exist. Inquiring minds want to buy some right now!

Yes. They are shipping. I thought about taking video the other day but the question was.... Why? Lol same thing as the two mode. Just an extra mode. Most of our Facebook fans have seen a picture if them already. You just can't tell any difference. They have been a HUGE hit at the Florida Tow Show. Sixty of them have new homes righty now. Had I had more on hand we would have sold a ton more.

I paid to have them overnighted.. I don't even wanna see the shipping bill :( :sadcry:

So could you quickly summarize for me (and others I'm sure), what is the significance of the third wire? I'm planning an upcoming project to replace my backup lights on a 2000 Expedition with amber/whites for a low profile rear warn system, and now I'm a little confused what I want to buy. Primarily, how are these different than the previous 2-color version?

The only thing different about them is before you could only have two ways to activate them now you have three. For example if you were to put them on the steps of a tahoe you can now have one wire activate the warning function, the second activation wire for your alley switch and third wire also trurn steady white on when you open the doors.
