Issues with HT-1250/update

I have a HT-1250 that been a excellent portable and hardly used it, One day went to


turn it on and it would not turn on or power up. Does this radios have an internal fuse


I tryed different batterys. Or is there a battery inside of the housing.

The radio does have an internal fuse. It is a surface mount fuse on the main board. I don't have a manual for that model, but the fuse is located right near the battery contacts. It is usually a 3 amp fuse on portable radios. The part will be labeled on the circuit board starting with "F" then some numbers. Might be F501 or something similar. The on/off switch/ volume pot may also be bad. That is a common failure part for those radios. They will usually break the other way though. They usually will remain on with no way of turning them off or adjusting the volume.

The same think happened to me last night, im gonna bring my in tonight for repair.

I took my ht-1250 apart and discovered a battery ,that looks like a watch battery


instead of a fuse. I called radio and sounds like its going to be a dealer item only


If there is any dealers out there that give me a quote


Battery number is ms621,there is a smaller number over top of the ms621 which is
