Talk about a waste of money.... From one install they could take the rear heads out of the front bar and front heads out of the rear bar and have everything but the corners for a 2nd install.

This is New York City. They would rather pay a $400 ER bill so some resident of the mens' shelter can get a free bottle of Robitussin, than give him a bottle at the shelter or cover the cost at the store.

i am surprised they are going federal whelen has had a strong hold on MTA they must not be using grant money then

The new trucks with the FS Legends are nicely done installs. They actually look sensible, not like there wasting money.

Some trucks have this odd looking mount, but if it works...

They probably order lots and lots of the same bar in the same layout but one amber and one red, then they just mount on to the front and one to the rear. They dont take the time cutomizing them so the back one doesnt have ftont facing brake lights etc etc...

MTA Police is red/blue on both of those. The front lightbar is R/W/B with takedowns and the rear is empty. The back lightbar is R/B/A in the back and empty in the front except for the red-lensed takedowns, which are in a different position in the back bar than the front.
