MX7000 score

I got a call from the Carver police chief yesterday.


He said he was at the Plymouth, Mass. highway barn looking for a B-link bar for one of our Carver cruisers. They didn't have one, but he told me that they had about a 1/2 dozen MX7000's that they were going to throw in the dumpster next week.


I called the Highway superintendant, and headed right down there to claim my prizes. I ended up with 5 complete working bars, and 2 parts bars.


Also a lot of extra blue lenses, a few Whelen sirens, a bunch of small Crown Vic hub caps, and two large Signal Stat 7" double sided blue lollipop lights.


All Have: four rotators, front take downs, rear alernating flashers, alleys, & intersection sweeps. No speakers in any of them.


Everything works on all 5 bars. Once I get them cleaned up, I may be selling a few of them.


Does anybody have any amber top domes for these? I need at least 4 cheap used ones. I can trade blue for amber, or buy them from you.

Hell, you can't beat free! Oddly enough you don't see the speaker center bars nearly as much as before; whatever ones are left seem to be mostly all-light versions.

Thats true! Another rare one has a speaker grille with full arrowstik in the back.

OSHA came out saying that above the head sirens were dangerous to hearing about 3 or 4 years ago.... that's when we saw the drop off.

Wow...first we hear about the free can lights, now these. Anyway, I would love to get one of the bars if the price is right...I work in Lakeville (live in Franklin), and could pick it up easily. Please let me know.
