hello there fellow collectors!

this time i have a special project, years in the making. i had been looking for a small version of the twinsonic for quite some time when another board member notified me he had one. when Ford-Dealer contacted me about a small CTS he had i was ecstatic! this would be the first small version i had, let alone be a CTS. it definitely took some time, actually about 8 months of negotiating. he wasn't sure he wanted to get rid of it, but i reassured him it was going to a good home. Ford-Dealer actually got it from crzycop. Crazycop acquired it in trade for some amber lighting. he said it was in service somewhere in the bay area of San Fransisco, CA. well, since i received it i sent the domes to Ryan to be polished. he did a great job as always! then i sent all the stainless to a polisher to be mirror polished. this step is a night and day difference. i also took all of the metal parts, except the cadmium plated items to my powder coater. i did not repaint the cadmium plated metal items this time, because they were in very good condition. i replaced all the hardware with new. then after some personal issues i finally had some time to reassemble the whole thing. i was very anxious to see how everything finally came together after almost two years. so here is the final result, let me know what you think!

Ya, San Francisco wanted a bar to fit their roof so they made a custom order, I currently replaced my parts in my bar with new looking parts. I love your bar, man. I thought you have every bar Federal signal made, how many small twinsonics do you have.

LOVE THE BAR!!!!

1. I have been on this site for about 3 yrs as a "Visitor" and finally registered after the switchover again.

2. I just love this section of ElightBars. I thought I was the only one would had this thing of vintage emergency lights.

3. I HATE L.E.D.S!!! They just don't throw the light like a beacon does. Even Michigan State Police are making the change to L.E.D.'s. Was in Ann Arbor back in March and saw two units that still had the rotators.

4. In 1980 I was stationed at Camp Pendleton, Ca. and had we just received the 1980 Plymouth Volare with the "Super 6" in it instead of a regular slant six or a 318. All they did at the base was take a regular CTS off a older M.P. pick-up and mounted it on the Volare. Not like what SFPD wanted in that pic. Some of our units had the F/S spotlight mounted over the speaker grill.

Model # I forgot off hand, but you could control it inside the vehicle. We had it set up as we did our traffice stops to be aimed in the interior of the suspect cat at the right distance when we made our stop.
