I will be ordering up some Pimp Pods soon for my 2001 Suburban grille - probably just 2 TIR3 or 4 in blue...

I am looking to see how you guys installed yours, and what they look like...

Thanks

When I first got my '95 Tahoe, this is how my 4 Whelen TIR-3s were mounted...

Then when I got my Pre-Runner bar, I had them like this... (and yes, the pics are of the same Tahoe... LoL )

Triton - bad ass Tahoe! I had a 99 with a slight crank, Black Steel 8's and 265's that would go anywhere!!!! LOVED that style....although I love my Burb a bit more..lol/

This one rocked a Blue and White FIREBEAM with Ultra Flash Mirror!

I took what I would describe as gusset plates (without the tacks on the back) bent them 90 degrees and drilled some holes. Not pimp pods (TIR6's in the photo)

I mounted my grill lights on the outside of the front grill. being that it is a marked patrol car, I didnt see the need for them to be stealthy. They lights are Axixtech Dual Chameleon lights in Red/Blue. The linears give off nice light when on the outside of the grill compared to being hindered when mounted behind the grill.

I don't know if this will be of any help, but here is my truck:

Goodness, a Freedom, with Ghosts and a Pioneer? You're not one to mess around with...

Do you also use the Pioneer for front lighting in adverse weather, etc....?

I was wondering the same thing with the Pioneer.

Why do you have the Ghosts mounted so low? I would thing they would be more effective in the grill or hanging below the top bar of the PB. Still all looks good though. Do you have a HLF or any HAWs to the front?

For the OP, I'm trying to find a video of my install to upload. I searched for my POV install thread in the archives but couldn't find it to link here. Its too cold and my car is covered in salt/snow to take a video right now. When I get one I'll upload it. I have some Tomar RECT-13LS's in my grill set to a x pattern. They are very effective.

I drilled the holes for the Ghosts before installing the bar on the truck, so I didn't realize how low they were going to be. I do have HAWs in the turn signals, so I figured that the lower warning would work well anyway.

As for the Pioneer, I don't have it hooked up to a flasher as of now, I just use it as a driving/fog light. It works amazing for searching for addresses, since the off-axis is so great. It's also incredible for winching at night.

I loved when I ran a Dual Viper 2 S2, those external ones look great!

I'm thrilled with them. Fairly large surface area.

With the slow pattern they are obvious a long ways off.

It was a good recommendation to follow.

I wanted some side intersection coverage, and I did this before they introduced the vertex or any led hideaway for that matter, the tir 3's are brighter than the vertex style heads in this application cause the area I put them in dosen't have a focused reflector.

The PIAA's are most likely coming off as I have a Whelen dual Pioneer as well. That is about the only place I have to mount it. We'll see.
