Official Junk, Overpriced, etc. Thread

The guy says it had a bulb out and no cracks!!!!!! It even has a siren speaker in it! I hope the rotators are 24k gold plate whit some $100 bills stuffed in the speaker cover lmao. It's even listed as an Aerodynic! The guy must smoke crack

The guy with the Aerotwin lightbar on Ebay dropped the price from 679 to 499!!!! It even has the x-mirrors INSTALLED for you!! Jump on that sh#t!! I have one I'll let go with amber domes for 479 since it doesn't have the mirrors.....that's shipped...you provide the insurance (UPS) only lmao. Someone should really help this guy out so he'll save a few $$ in fees....

Yeah I saw that too, I thought there was a way to report over priced shipping costs but I did not see that as a selection.

I shipped a 55" Liberty in a Whelen Box for $45 with MSRP insurance, there is no way even if the UPS Store packs that it would be $75 with packing and shipping.

i sold one and ups charge me $ 91 to pack and ship from kentucky to west virgina,

That looks exactly like a Lectric Lites Ranger XLR lightbar. I know there was on one of the old ELB boards a post to a company that seemed to have bought or used that design after LL was sold out to Code 3. The difference is a metal speaker housing and more rotators. The headlight were either halogen or strobe, but the domes were like paper thin. Also, the one on eBay looks like it has Federal Signal Jet feet where LL had their own design.

One of my LL Ranger XLR bars with strobes.

It just sounded like the seller did'nt know what he was talking about. But then again, neither do I when it comes to vintage! But like Matt C. said, it's not worth a whole bunch (especially without the domes). When I sell stuff, I generally try to clean it up and make it look half way decent.

Are you fucking kidding me? It's not like it's collectible and you can't find a price- they're for sale all over! I always thought anything over $110 for a new one was too high! :suicide:

The rotators and mirrors are made from high-quality polished silver, the motors built by small elves, the dome is actually molded glass from Egypt, and the bulbs are filled with concentrated fairy belches :hahano: :bonk: :weird: :bonk: :dielaugh: .

Just stupid. It's a HighLighter!!! Anybody can buy a good one for $20 if they do some looking!

What's book/MSRP on one of those. Like $180, maybe $200? Retail is a little over a hundo. What, can this one make me dinner and clean my house?

Speaking of junk rip off, does anyone here sell the Voltex bars or other cheap china bars? I need a chepo bar for a Frankenstein project...

Code 3 Lightbar LED

He wants a grand for a used shitty Code 3 LED bar?! I finally snapped and sent this guy the following email:

"Hey, I'm not interested in the bar, but I just want you to know that nobody in their right mind would pay that much for a used Code 3 LED bar.

This is because people are only willing to pay what they think is appropriate for a lightbar. As an experienced collector, I can tell you that even an unused Whelen LED lightbar rarely goes for over $500. If you knocked your price down to about $300, you'd probably still have a hard time selling it, but at least then it would be reasonable.

Remember: it's not made out of gold. Or platinum. Or diamond. It's made out of plastic and metal."
