Here's my first contributions!! Took these just a while ago.

1979 NYPD Aero on my 97 Crown Victoria(and videos!!). Pictures aren't the best, it's getting dark and it's raining.

Second, 1979 Cheetah. I had to put it on backwards so the wires could enter the passenger side(where I can tap into power/ground). I also had removed one of the bulbs for the NYPD bar.

The price I pay for sticking the NYPD on my car.... :(
(flash made paint look wierd).

Next time, use a thick towel to slide the bar across the roof of cars 'til it gets the other side. No scratches will occur and you can remove the towel and adjust the lightbar accordingly:thumbsup:.

Jr beacon ray and 2001 Dodge Dakota

Nice, Nick. When I get a chance, I need to get some pix of my '74 GMC VanDura ambulance with the twin juniors on top. Some of the guys on the jr. beacon thread were wanting to see it, too.

I just rememebered I put a 1977 Dominion 2 or 4 beam, cant remember beacon on my 07 ford for plowing. If I had a blue dome for my round top at the time, I would have used that since it reached over my lightbar.

That DOES look good... Of course, its a DIETZ :) One of my all time favorites!

Ditto! The Dietz 211s were always popular here in West Texas. My favorite was the 211-WW (their version of the 'hill light') that we had on a couple of our ambulances over the year. The last time it was used, it had a blue dome with all clear bulbs. It was mounted up on the hightop of our '70 hightop Suburban ambulance. One night we were responding on a fire call in our part of the county, and I was lead vehicle. Somewhere along the way we lost the dome off that light, and the units following were almost blinded by the clear light...especially the downward facing bulb! Well....at least it was seen! :p

I finally got back to Hazen and took an hour or more on Christmas Eve to pose my plain jane Crown Victoria with all my sealed-beam beacons and lightbars. Had to take down and put all this stuff back carefully during that time! There's a few that I personally like, but since each old-on-new is a separate submission, I'll let you all make your choice on what looks the best ;) .

To meet CA spec it needs to have flashing amber to the rear.
That is the purpose of the amber PAR 46 on the left side of the beacon.

That's not 100% true. CA laws recommended and allowed amber to the rear, never required it. But yes, 99 out of 100 times CA setup means steady burn front, amber flashing rear.

Ok, thanks for the heads up. I always thought it would be required.

As promised, here are the pics of my brand new 2013 Renault Scenic.

The Dietz fits almost any modern car very well;), the Twinsonic looks a little bit out of place. :D :dielaugh:

Is that Jet cut down?

Yes, 6 inches removed. Otherwise it would have been hanging out over the sides. (I really should show the 'no-holes-drilled' mounting, too.)
