Neat! That's what I have on the rear deck of my POV. Currently is red/clear, but just got a blue half-dome for it.

Old school- still gets the job done, though.

To meet CA spec it needs to have flashing amber to the rear.
That is the purpose of the amber PAR 46 on the left side of the beacon.

Oh sorry it looked red on my phone and I always thought that the amber was a requirement to wow learn something new every time I get on here

Nice Jenny! A couple of weeks ago a guy eluded the cops over in Martin County, almost running over one of the deputies, and until late last week has been on the run. He was stopped earlier in the week just outside the Midland International Airport, but took off on foot when officer smelled "drugs" in the car.....a nice looking new Dodge Challenger. He was caught hiding at a friend's house, so he's now in custody. I wonder if they're going to sell that nice looking Challenger at auction (soon I hope).

I'm busy joining the Air Force and I ship out in March, don't make me go buy an AeroTwin for my Taurus just so you've got enough entries. :haha:

It might irritate my TI. Wouldn't really fit with the whole "boot camp" theme either.

Wow! Guess I am a ELB vet, I remember these pics! I personally like the visibar on the vics, I would so run one if my department let me. I loved the can lights on it too, would look great black and white with them on there. Thats a nice 59 Ford you got there, but I don't think she counts as an old on new entry! lol

Roger that! Those T2s are getting hard to find. I won a pair of them at a meet in SoCal in '01, and allowed a friend to keep them for me since I couldn't carry them back on the plane. He was supposed to have come to TX a few weeks later. Found out much later that he sold the lights, and when I jumped him about it, he claimed that I gave them to him. I'd like to see where they ended up.

I love the odler CVPIs. I have a '97 that's in very bad need of total restoration. But in its day, it was a fast runner. I'm not sure if I can find a pic of it, but the Odessa P.D. has a '47 Chevy coupe that was confiscated from a drug dealer several years ago. It has been painted black and white and has a pair of Federal FS3 single-faced lights on the roof with a chrome EG siren on the left fender. Nice!

Would an actively used oscilaser with a custom made dash mount count? It's in my 2010 4runner to provide more off-axis alerting.

Federal Model 184

Very nice 184, Nick. The short skirt on the 184s were somewhat rare...at least around here. One of the nicer short-skirted 184s I ever saw was on Thomas Funeral Home's '65 Dodge station wagon ambulance which was a baby blue color. The ambulance had the red 184 mounted front center with a pair of Federal LL4 red lollipops flanking the beacon and a C4B siren underhood. Nice setup.

That should be nice. I have an old red Oscilaser that came with an "L" bracket that I've been considering using as a rear deck light. Hmmm!

Too bad I can't find my polaroid photo of my truck. If I do, I'll scan it & send it to you.

I know it's too late for the contest, but you might like the pic for kicks & grins.

I drove an 87 GMC S10 Jimmy with 2 Whelen 33H Rotabeams (amber) & a 100 watt speaker mounted on an old lightbar sub-assembly.

Wish I still had those 33H's.
