Southern VP model 202 lightbar

Picked this up for a cool $75 + shipping from a Facebook seller. I have always thought these were neat looking but could never find one without damage. This one is remarkably nice! All stickers are present and legible, both endcaps and domes intact, speaker section intact, and original speaker still installed! The speaker driver sits sideways and the rectangular cone then fills the majority of the grill area. I was worried when I saw the condition of the box when it was delivered, but the seller did an excellent job packaging this. Guest appearance by Walter. Tried to get him to stay still for four separate tries at video...but he really enjoyed this light.

I'm glad to see at least one of these exists without an extreme amount of damage. Those speaker grills broke under the slightest amount of stress.

These bars are not really sturdy, mostly plastic so no surprise that many don't exist anymore.

Good score on this one, I have a R/B CA variant somewhere in my storage unit.

You're not kidding there! It's super light and the plastic is dainty.

Much like the old Whelen 6000 bar, these SVP bars have a mostly plastic top section. The plastic is not the sturdiest to begin with and with exposure to UV radiation (sunlight), the plastic becomes very brittle. That's a really pristine example of the SVP 202, I suggest keeping it indoors and away from UV light sources.
