They deploy it to disaster areas (floods, ice storms, etc) to handle the multitudes of claims that come in following these events.

This mobile command vehicle is housed at Clay Fire Territory and operated by the St. Joseph County Department of Emergency Management, but serves a Mutual Aid Box Alarm System of 7 northern Indiana counties that make up the Indiana Department of Homeland Security's 2nd District (Elkhart, Marshall, Fulton, Pulaski, Starke, Kosciusko and St. Joseph). It is used primarily for large fires, natural disasters, and crowd control operations at the University of Notre Dame. The $500,000 vehicle was paid for mostly through grants provided by the US Department of Homeland Security.
