I have a model 28 also, and although I love it, it doesn't sound like or roll down like a Q. It has its own sound.

I have the carson SC-1022 handheld with the mechanical tone.. though its only 100w, it works and sounds great.
There is no other siren that sounds like the Federal Q series. That is the reason that Federal patented the sound. By law, there can be no other siren that sounds the same. Save your pennies and buy the real thing, you won't regret it.

start leaving printouts with the info out where she can find it with the phone numbers,etc of how to order it minus the price,lol.. if you keep dropping the hints it will work.
