Nice, Dan. Did you sand blast them ??........ :haha:

I was thinking of wire brushing them before selling them but didn't want

to screw-up the housings.

Very, very nice.

Pete, I lightly wire brushed them, then several light coats of paint inside and out, made them look new.

Thanks again.

If anyone has any of the self contained halogen models (dual or triple) I will be looking for some within the next few weeks.

Thanks!

Keep it the Dash Master was very important step in lighting. i think it is up there with the Roto beams. Those solo strobes were cool lights Tilcon Tomasso ran them on everything Mixers,Paving machine, and rollers

Since I own 2 DashMasters, And Recently had 1 Fixed due to a Blown Capacitor ( Thank You Alfa Electronics ) I Really want to know ... What the Heck is the Blue Wire For?? Remember these were rated at 1 Million Candlepower back in the day, They Blew away the DashMisers due to the Reduction in Size 9 I own a DM1 and DM2 ( The DM2 is Currently the Forward Light on the Front of my patrol car ) I also own 2 DashKings Duo Remotes that are left and right of my Rear Brake light as well as a DashKing single that is a Spare and 2 DashKing Single Remotes... Ir anyone has the PDF's for the DshMasters Please let me know Cause I have one of those Whelen DashMasters with the 4 Wired Connecter ( Not Connected )!

I have a pretty complete package for sale, of all the DashMaster family brochures, product bulletind, installation instructions etc, if anybody is interested. I'm not sure if they have the bit of info that you are looking for.

Are you talking about DashMaster II double? If so, I can probably help.
in my best words.... HUH??

Generally im trying to find the PDFs about the wiring setup on them, of course theres the red and black for cigarette lighter or hard wiring, but what the heck is the blue wire on that connector for??

You need to distinguish which model DashMaster you are inquiring about. DashMaster, DashMaster II, DeckMaster, DashMaster II California, DashFlasher, DashFlasher California, DashFlasher II? As I stated it sounds like you might have a DashMaster II, or a DeckMaster. Pics might help.

DashMaster II typically had wires to the small plug only. The DeckMaster used the other plug also to tie 2 DashMaster IIs together, and allow switchable synchronizing. When I get back, I'll check paperwork to see what I can see.

If I recall correctly, the blue wire is the third wire in the three-wire plug. The other two are power and ground. When powered, the blue wire cuts off one of the two strobes. This wire could be used on a DashMaster II with red and clear lenses, for example, to disable white forward warning when parked.

I Applied power to the blue wire and Yes it did shut off one of the strobes so only 1 strobe flashed... cool but dont see the use of that... now if only I can find my green and yellow lights I removed from my other!

My old agency had detective cars with a Signalstat teardrop. Nothing else. Being a lightaholic, I had a couple Dashmasters I mounted in my car. At the time VSP was running them in their unmarks, with that rubber rhino snout glare guard.

I wish I could find some housings. I would like to see if they would hold 400 series LED's. I also wouldn't mind having or making. Dash flasher version. The halogen lightheads and lenses are fairly easy to come by.

Of coarse you could also make a remote powered strobe version now with commet flash patterns as well.

Anyone have any housings they would be willing to part with? Would prefer a double.
Would heat buildup in the original strobe bulbs/housing be a problem? I was playing with one today, let it run ten minutes. The lens face was rather warm to touch.

Correct, the DeckMaster is the kit including 2 correctly wired DashMasterIIs, the connecting wire and plugs, and the switch assembly.

I believe the DFH300 is the same scenario, a kit containing 2 DFH200s, wiering harness and the proper DPDT switch for standard and fast flash.
Do you have the wiring diagram? I've two Dashmasters. It would be great to sync them.

I had a complete collection of DashMaster family in my collection. I have since sold that part of my collection, but have a fairly complete, extensive collection of DashMaster family brochures, product bulletins, and drawings like above, that I would be willing to sell, if anybody is interested.
