Whelen Liberty LFL LED Diodes

So in my search for parts for the above subject bar, I am learning that there are people out there that actually taking existing modules and convert the color of them by swapping out just the LED diodes themselves. I know for a fact that the individual diodes (or the entire board in the module for that matter) is not a part offered by Whelen. Is this possible? If so, is it reliable as far as lifespan and functionality goes? I know different colored LED's have different amp requirements, but how does this work with the main I/O board in the bar?

@wilsonbr90 i think can change the diodes in the leds in a liberty.

I have a half burnt out lin6 from a liberty i wanna send and see if he can replace the dead ones with blues

I have noticed those who are replacing the diodes, that the cost is far more than just buying a used complete module. It appears to be very time consuming to replace the diodes
