I have been tring to get these lightbars for years. When i first started in the fire service these

were on the first engines i ever rode in. The dept. has a new chief now and yesterday he stop

by the shop and told me. ( i have to put them in or on the trash can. where they go after that

is no concern of him). So as he put them on i took them off..

Couldn't of been subjected to the elements much, as the handwritten model and serial numbers are still visible on the dome clamps.

The engines were always inside when not on a call. The old station had no windows in it and they've been in an upstairs storge for a couple of years.

That's an odd setup on the one in the video . . . I like it though. Can't wait to see the other one as well!

Asymmetricalsetup... one rotator died and was turned into a flasher?

nope its a flasher from whelen

Hmm...... it actually looks like it is supposed to be a flasher..... The flasher side of the bar is how these looked factory... The rotator on the one side is both a 80 rotator in a 90 bar and on the inside of the mirror.... I have never seen a 80 rotator in a 90...also never inside the mirror. When a rotator is in that spot the mirror is always turned so that both rotators use it... I'd be interested to see how it's wired. I'd suspect that there is supposed to be a flasher where that rotator is.

The funny thing is that that flasher looks like it's factory setup for a single side. When whelen used flashers for a single flasher they were wired like this (ie CA). Bars with dual flashers were wired differently.... this could be a factory job...

All the wiring is under the plates and im not taking this one apart. i think it looks to good for that.. now the other one dose not work so that you will be taken apart. ill post pic of that one. i do know on the second one the flashing light is different. but ill know more when i take it apart..

Gorgeous! Amazing what's still out there in storage... forgotten about. These look like NOS. Tremendous score, especially considering the rarity of the 80H & 90H bars. It seems like this entire platform was dominated by the 8000 series strobe bars.
