The Sutphen does have upgraded lighting.... It has 2 Whelen L32 Beacons underneath the bucket, haha. I think it looks fine, especially with it being original. As for the Amsterdam rescue, the installer isn't the best so everything about the vehicle sucks, haha.pdk9 said:Man, the Menands Sutphen lighting package & the Amsterdame R1 center console can use some serious TLC & touching up. I def love the striping package on Car 32-0.

Pretty much, they also respond to Echo Responses(Cardiac Arrests). They are not always available during the day for flight missions. Here in Albany we have LifeNet out of Albany Medical Center and Lifeguard 12 which is the NYSP Medavac, Colonie operates with the SP and the SP is available until 11PMish.pdk9 said:How does the special ops/flight medic unit work...operate as a normal medic unit until a department requires air rescue (in which case they go back to the hangar & hop on the chopper)?

Yea, it's a pain to look at, if only they were solid lightheads it would be ok.I wish the Town of Colonie EMS ambulances weren't split failing for a living, they are otherwise very sharp looking.
Here Career Departments have Rescues as ALS Flycars or Ambulance with "Rescue Squad" being the heavier rescues. For Schenectady, is Rescue 1 a Fly Car?
The NYS DOH vehicles, are they just plain gov. fleet fords, or are they interceptors with a basic lighting package?
