Like Sparky said, the MX bars with long term sun exposure had the crispy wire problem. Most of the ones I dug into back then were prone to that.
If Sparky can fix you up with harnesses, you'll find he's great to deal with.
SOLD
Selling 2 Unity chrome 6 in. Spotlights. Both light/shaft/handle assemblies are 325V models.
I have a 189 (drivers) and a 189RH (passenger) Mounting Kit.
They come with pages of templates and mounting instructions.
These were sitting in a storeroom for a few years and were never mounted on...
I remember seeing those exact words posted here on ELB but that was a few site upgrades ago.
I was heavy into Edge 9000/9M bars at the time so I think it saved me some money and frustration.
Yes, the ArrowStik was attached to the Jet bar and not the roof. I remember that the
bracket was about 2.5 or 3 inches wide but I don't remember if it bent up or down to
attach to the rear of the ArrowStik.
I seem to remember that we used 2 "L" brackets. They were mounted in the bottom
grove of the Jet bar, same grove used for the mounting feet.
I'm sure one of our members will come up with a pic :)
If I remember right, it has Wail, Yelp and Air Horn. Was a pretty good unit
for the price back then. All you needed was a couple of switches and you were
in business. 100w, I believe.
Thanks guys. I have to admit, it's a solid little siren and well made.
The dog howls along with it when I crank it up just like she does
when a "Q" drives by the house.
I might play with it a little more but the wife wants me to send it off to the
"For Sale" section of this site :(
I found this mech. siren in an antique shop this weekend. It had to come home with me even
though my wife was rolling her eyes at me lol.
No lable nor badge and 115vac. It's 6 3/4 inches long and 4 1/2 inches in diameter.
The guts are real clean and boy does it scream.
Anybody know who made it...
You're lucky. At least he told you the deal was off.
How many times have some of us made a deal to meet at a place and time only to
be stood up and 3 days later they say they changed their mind.
He found someone to come to his place rather than pack it all up and drive to meet you.
Come on, Guys & Gals. You have to admit that your heart would have skipped a beat or two when
the door went up at that storage unit auction. I would have spent crazy money on that one.
I'm betting there are some goodies buried in there :p
This was one of mine:
