Restored - Honolulu PD Super Beacon Ray 174

The Michigan State Police used some of these in 60's and 70's with a red lense. Living in Mi. you would think there would be some around. Nope. Glad you found one.

Want to build a set of S&M / TRIO style can lights

Sounds like a good plan. Many years ago I used 4'' PVC Couplings, carriage bolts, and short lengths of pipe (couple of inches for center and 1/2 wide or so bulb retainers). Crude, but worked.

    Non-electrical guy needs help

Use a relay to power the light from the battery. I like to use oversized wire for power and ground. 10-12 gauge will minimize voltage drop. You could use lighter but you might have more issues. I like to add a quick detach plug. The relay can be energized from a low draw circuit on the fuse...

Wanted Wanted reasonably priced jet strobe, jetstream, jetsonic

I have a Jet Strobe, clear lense with red/blue fresnel over the strobes. Amber filters on rear flashers, clear takedown, and red/blue cutout alley lights. Incomplete vehicle mount. Your offer though is low, and shipping will be $80.00 to $100.00 (estimate). Try Gov.deals.com, an auction site...

    Installing lightbars on a house??

HMMMM that may be a interesting solution. Of course he could just use a old and crusty battery with various pieces of wire twisted together as needed. Damn the idea of a UPS may be a pretty good idea!

Something I noticed while in FL... Sheriff's Cars...

It was a voluntary change pushed by the Michigan Sheriffs Association. The trend lasted for a decade or so and then slowly went back to the department heads choice. There is always a desire to individualize and stand out. When a new sheriff comes in two things happen: he or she cleans house...

    NEED HELP! Military poser

My, how nice of a target is that Japanese flag? Trauma plate or not it is GOING TO HURT. I don't consider mercenary contracted operators to be a "operator". The top tier operators who are shooters are in a class of their own. Most contractors are pawns...I suppose they have some purposes but...

    My 2nd Visibar

If motor is slow you might want to check the brush (s). If they are dirty, worn, or damaged they can interfere with not conducting electricity. If they're are dirty a little cleaning of the commutator and reshaping the brushes will help. Chain tension can also slow if tight. It was pretty...
