i just ordered a pair of Strobes N More, 1500 Lumen flood lights, for the rear Back Rack. I originally wanted to do another pair of the Duallys in the rear, but for $69, these couldn't be beat.

ill have pics and vids posted as soon as they come in...

had to change the AC condenser on my truck, when i put it all back together, the grill lights began flashing simultaneously, as opposed to alternating. TBO, i dont hate it. its a very large, easy to understand foot print of light. i may leave them like this. what do you think?? :undecided:

With the alternating colors, this looks great. I agree with you, very large footprint. I give it two thumbs up.

Nice rear white lights, can't beat them if they are $70. Do you have any pictures of the light spread during the day and at night? I am looking into getting some rear lights to see better backing up at night.

i have the rear floods mounted to the back rack with large metal washers, large neoprene washers, and wing nuts. this makes directing the light from a rear flood to an ally or side light very easy

User can select to use BLUE ONLY, while responding to a fire call. RED and BLUE lights can be activated while responding for more SERIOUS medical emergencies or calls that would warrant a more aggressive response.

Nice truck, but the dumbest statement I have ever seen.

Was permitted to use red as Ems chief. No longer able to, and it will be going back to an all blue set up.

I guess confined to the rules you havE to follow that makes a little more sense. It appeared as if you were saying that a response to a medical call was of a more serious nature and required a more expeditious response.

CHANGES:

-i had two slimlighters in the windshield, then i upgraded to a SOS Pinnacle interior bar. They were both R/B. Im no longer an EMS officer, so its back to all blue. SOS bar was sold locally, and now, Coming monday: FedSig ILS. all blue w/ white takedowns. (in photo: im currently using a FedSig CUDA head in the front window, in the meantime.)

-New Frontier front bumper replacement. I mounted 2 Fed sig 100w speakers behind the cutouts in the center of the bumper. I surface mounted the Tomar RECT14s to the sides of the bumper and relocated the grill lights from behind the grill, to the front of the mesh on the bumper. The grill lights had nearly zero-off axis warning being behind the grill. with the addition of the Frontier bumper, they lost A LOT more of their effectiveness, even straight on. Mounted where they are now is MUCH better.

-i disconnected the HLF from the high beams and connected them to the Rigid Industries Duallys, and now they flash as wig-wags. VERY EFFECTIVE. i think they work better than the highbeam flasher.

-i removed the OEM fog lights which had R/B solaris heads and clear strobes. i removed these units all together. there's PLENTY of front and intersection warning.

Ill post new videos as soon as i get this ILS bar installed.

Really looking forward to the video. I've always toyed with the idea of putting a set of Dually's on a flasher and using them as wig-wags. I'd love to see how effective they are.

How did you wire them to get both fog light and wig wag patterns? I know you could wire the "fog light" switch to the high beam wire on the flasher to get them to steady burn, but then you'd also have to turn on the HLF switch to get steady burn?

How did you do it?

i have the fog lights wired normally using the included harness. I just "tapped" the HLF into the positive wire on the driving lights, as opposed to the highbeam wire. I have a switch to turn them on steady, and then a push button on the smart siren makes them flash. (steady burn overrides the flashing)

They look awesome. How would you compare them to a typical HLF? The reason I liked the idea is because I think HLF is one of the best things you can have for warning, but sadly they are not permitted here.

and after the ambulance left i shot this one. The Duallys hooked to the HLF are extremely effective.

Nice and clean!!

...but I´m thinking you may want to consider a low light dimming function: blinded drivers are not safe drivers, and they´re coming towards you at speed....

thats in 'response mode'. Level 2 is a bit more tolerable. 2 Steady burning modules on the ILS, and flashing the grills and rears. (steady burn can also be turned on independently of anything else)

i apologize for the iPhone videos.

I love steady burn blue. Love looking at photos or video of Honolulu PD cars all with their cruise lights on.

i love this setup! as soon as it has the linz6's on the sides of the toolbox, i'd say it is the perfect amount of lighting

some recents... in the first one, you can see the amber L32 'throw-light', for non-emergency ops

You should replace that RECT-14 with a Whelen M4.

Yeah, I agree 100%. If I was building this from scratch, that's what I would do. I would prefer to have a pair of m4s on the sides, m7s on the front bumper and m7s on the rear box. However this build has been done using parts that I have accumulated over the years. The linz6s, the tir3s, the rect14s, the strobes came from my old car. Everything on the truck has been picked up here and there. Eventually I would like to convert to all M-series lightheads aroun the entire truck. Maybe one day...
