When did CO's start driving Ford's?

I know that a District 4 Sergeant had one that he was testing for various reasons - one of those being a little more front ground clearance compared to their Silverados. His F-150 was the only one I've seen. I think he's been pretty happy with it so they may have some more now

1978 Paramedic Unit. Notice the grill-mounted 14 Beacon and double-speakers on the roof.

Is this the world's longest AeroDynic bar that isn't an all-light model? I count 12 sections plus the speaker grill.

Unit 113. Even though the car and logo say Detroit School District on them, their web site says they're Detroit Public Schools Police Department (DPSPD).

I believe this is a prisoner transport van. it's in front of 1300 Beaubien, the former DPD headquarters.

Here's an early 2000s graphics scheme on an old Explorer that's still in use.

Crown Vic in the current non-wrap graphics. I don't know if the Impala behind it is a police vehicle or not, but I suspect it is an administrative unit. See this post for my pic of a donated unit in the wrap graphics.

And my surprise catch is this Dodge traffic unit. Unfortunately I was not able to catch the stealth graphics on the side of the car. :bonk:

Are those antennas/GPS on the roof & trunk?
I don't know for sure, but I believe they're all antennas for standard police radio, 800 mHz, and the MDT. Perhaps one of our radio experts can chime in?

Im terrible about getting pictures. Grand Haven public safety apparently now has three Utilities, along with Spring Lake/Ferrysburg getting at least one utility and one sedan... And despite everyone else here in Sound Off territory, SL/F stayed with Tomar and transferred a Blade to the Utility, While GHDPS went to the Scorpion. Someday I will catch a good picture. I usually only see them at night, and with scorpions and blades going theres not much car to see!

Spring Lake/ Ferrysburg new Utilities. They run Tomar, Originally Blades but slowly switching to Scorpions.

They are VERY sneaky.
