Great point with "Framing the vehicle in light" I actually like the idea of mounting it higher myself.  I have a hideaway setup in my reverse lights lower on the vehicle also.  For some reason the headliner is very tight fiting on the Ranger, particularly around its edges. Maybe its this way...

Throwing this out there as I have been racking my brain a bit on the best way to go about mounting a new Axis Plus 600 Warning Bar I picked up from Tom at Advanced Warning lights in the rear window of my Ford Ranger.  Hoping to gather some better ideas before going forward with the install...

Just to update decided to go with the Axis plus 600. Couldnt bring myself to wait    Plus I may have some time off this week allowing me to do an install.   Will probably try and take  video/picts myself.

I'm really curious how they managed to do that also.  Just purchased an AWL warning bar for my own truck, a ford ranger, which has a similar back window setup as your's.  That Feniex cobra 600 really looks great at the top like that!  Makes me want to do the same :)

This video really sells me on the Axis Plus. Before I was a little torn between this and the AWL RX-46 for my trucks rear window.  Just have to figure out how to make it work mounting wise and all with the sliding glass.  In fact I had sent you an email response to my feniex T6's order followup...

Looks great. Well now that I got the money..I guess this would be a good question for AWL itself but I would be curious how these AWL SMT6's would compare to the Feniex Cobra T-6 which they also carry. Has anyone seen or done any comparison's ?

Great thread! I had to look up my ranger out curiousity. Of course I changed my headlights out years ago abandoning the OEM wiring so the flasher doesnt matter anyways but still..

Definently pays to keep vigalent and do your research. I actually have a few cheapy chineese lights myself. Something I had for a few years that still work for my needs. However would I buy them again. Probably not.

Great thread!  However no california yet.  I've allways been somewhat confused when it comes to that sort of thing particularly with amber warning lights. It seems to depend on the agency/officer rather or not they are legal or not.
