Correct! #3617 was the 35 watt version. There was a 50 watt version that came in some of the 7-05 units that I've owned/bought/sold and there was a distinct difference between them in output. The 50 watt versions also had a clearer, more transparent lens to the PAR16 bulb which gave a sharper flash versus the glare from the slightly frosted 35 watt faces. That old video I posted a while back with the 7-05's on my wrecker will show the difference as a couple of the old bulbs are original and (I think) two are the replacement 35 watters that were the only bulbs still available. The 50 watt units did have the tendency to melt the lead contact on the base of the bayonet socket over time due to the added amp draw...
Years ago, I remember all those 3617's being available in colors, too but they were for different applications as I don't ever remember the 7-05's ever being available in clear (or green for that matter). Several other applications for those bulbs also included accent lighting and lawn tractor headlamps with fluted or diffused lenses.
Isn't 4411 a PAR 36 sealed beam bulb, with a fluted face?
The bulbs in this light are much smaller than PAR 36. PAR 16 maybe?, and not fluted.
Dan is correct. A # 4411 is a 35watt trapezoid-pattern PAR36 sealed beam with standard screw-terminal contacts on the back.
Even though I'm also a big fan of these little lights, I'm not thrilled with the mechanicals...rather cheesy source of power for the bulbs at the base of the center shaft. Maybe helps explain their short lives? The motor assembly is satisfactory as is the bulb cage, dome and housing but...
