We threw another mini-bar together with some parts we had laying around...

The bar is a Mini Liberty/Patriot frame with four 500 Series LIN-6s, two 500 Series TIR-6s, and one 500 Series CON-3. Nothing fancy, but a fun little bar... We might put either a 500 series halogen witha flasher in the rear center, or maybe an amber 500 series LED... The LIN-6s and TIR-6s are running off their own internal flashers, and the CON-3 is a steady burn.

Looks great! If it were my bar I would swap the rear LIN6s for the side TIR6s so there is better output at a 45 degree angle and put a amber TIR6 in the rear if you have one.

These are two ideas I had with a 24 EAH AeroDynic that had a broken rotator. The first one here, I was going to get this bar back in-service to the Golden Valley Rural Fire Dept to use on one of their tanker rigs and wasn't going to keep it for myself. I didn't think I was going to find another Aero rotator, so I removed the other good one to make the bar a 4-rotator bar. Seeing this type of interior config in Motorolamanic's Aero: AeroDynic E1-Z A1-F Mass State Police Wrecker Bar, I used the bulkhead mirrors and some aluminum strap that I custom-bent to make a pair of brackets for them as additional forward-facing warning. I set the rotators to a slower-paced SAFE pattern and manually moved the rotators to time the flash pattern and installed a FA-3 flasher I picked up from Rwo978. I soon got a motor for it, but then found out the gear-drive was stripped on one side, unbeknownst to me:(. By the time I found that out, however, I had talked with the fire chief and he said they were going to wind up using an LED-mini bar on the truck anyway. So, I bought it to do whatever;).

Custom set-up for the FD...

After getting a NOS positive gear-drive kit from Guy M and a period correct alternating can flasher, I made a pair of taller aluminum brackets to make the mirrors into a V. I set the rotators to a wig-wag pattern and it turned out pretty good. I also reversed the lenses so that the ambers and alley alternated and the rear had work lights.

But in the end, this was my end goal  : http://elightbars.org/forums/f18/ndhp-federal-signal-24eah-aerodynic-complete-49951/

I cannot possibly over the internet express the amount of cringe that this makes me experience.

I'd rather see the housing stay on the apparatus than a new led bar slapped on it.

If anything, I hope he at least kept the guts.

Or barring that, he could sell them here or on Craigslist.

Ryan bought them. it hurt me to redo the bar because it was in NOS condition, but it had to be done.

An enthusiast got the parts, the lighting got upgraded and the vintage shell and look were preserved. Best possible outcome for the scenario really.

member wanted a Code 3 strobe beacon but didn't want to pay the big bucks for one.

Told him I could make one.

So I have some NOS bases and a red and green NOS dome.He wanted red.

Took the base and a dremal and leveled all the parts around the mounting area..

Took 2 Whelen 2022s and trimmed the based to fit and riveted them down.

The 420 rotor model I had before I sold it I took the mirrors and traced them on some other bigger mirrors to make them for the light.

Bought new wire (12') down to Lowes for the light.

He wanted switch instead of a plug.

The 2022s have for settings factory at Quintflash - 72 Quintflashes (5) per minute, DoubleFlash -115 Doubleflashes per minute, Randomflash - 150-370-150 per minute,

ActionFlash 1 Quintflash and 4 Single Flashes per minute.

And this is what I have.I think it turned out well.

Remember it is hard to get strobe flashes on video so it's outside and inside.I meant to say QuintFlash.

Well... Since my Liberty still isn't installed on my Avalanche yet (had a bunch of shit going on the past couple weeks) I decided to do some more customizing to it... lol

I snagged a Feniex Titan 1000 from FEVER (Nic) for a steal. My original plan was to take some of the Titan modules out and put some T-4s in and mount it to the front of my Wife's H3... Well, the way the Titan is put together, it would have been too much of a hassle and I would have had to hack it a bit, so I scratched that idea... So instead, I did this...

I did some "vantage point" type videos of the TDs on my Custom LiberTitan... I only used my TD for illumination in these videos...

Evening Video, taken at about 830 in the evening after the sun was mostly set...

Ok so it's not really that custom I just took a old gen-1 SVP deck light and added the LEDs to the rear bottom of the bar. I had to trim the mounting brackets to fit and used the screws that hold the bottom lens to the frame. I used a sho-me flasher I had laying around and set it to a in/out pattern. ENJOY

It kinda makes me wonder what something the size of a Twin but with a full clear lens (no speaker section) packed with firebeams would looks like. Probably be a hell of a bright bar.

The later code 3 SD used the metal XL rotator and other XL options. They were basically a twinsonic clone filled with XL rotators.
