Does anyone know of a video showing the various patterns on the Whelen ULF44? If so, would you please link to the video? Thanks.

Your favourite 'weird' vehicles, some real, some "photoshops"

I've long thought that the Grand Theft Auto games could be repurpoaed fairly easily to be driver's ed or EVOC simulators fairly easily.

Check out this mess: New Chicago Ambulance

My guess is, because people will buy it. Not so much that it's useful, but someone out there will think it's the coolest thing since sliced bread. Kinda like we often see with split fail lights and the people on Facebook.

    Whelen Eyeballs pattern?

According to the install PDF for the Inner Edge XLP (http://www.whelen.com/install/146/14675.pdf), there's a pattern called eyeballs - anyone have any idea what this is, and by chance, have a video of it?

Alley Lighting with a slicktop setup, need ideas

I believe they're going for about $100-$110 each online. I believe we have several Sound Off Signal dealers on here who may be able to offer better pricing.

    2011 Taurus limited Whelen

Flood optics? I still think the Ion V2s (if the illumination LEDs are strong enough) would be good for alley/warning lights. Nonetheless, don't misunderstand - great setup!

    2011 Taurus limited Whelen

Only thing I would consider doing (if you have the time, money and inclination) is to switch out the Ion Sidekicks to Ion V2s and the rear deck to blue and amber Ion Duos. Other than than that, it's perfect - as long as it does what you need it to do!

Commonwealth Rescue Systems - 2014 Suburban

I like the vehicle - the lettering and vehicle color isn't bad. But the lighting is absolutely horrible.

Commonwealth Rescue Systems - 2014 Suburban

https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=785627491494757 Lots of split-fail (in my opinion), as well as significant overkill - do you need an external AND internal lightbar in the front? A hatch bar (with split-fail) and a dedicated directional bar? Lots of body-mounted lights? If so, check this...

    Fire Motorcycle

It really depends on how your department wants them to operate. Our battalion chiefs operate out of the vehicle, using a pull-out command board and a number of other things that you'd have great trouble fitting onto a motorcycle.

    Fire Motorcycle

I can support police and EMS using motorcycles, but I don't think I can support this. The car was on fire when he got there, it continued to burn and nothing is going to save this vehicle - it's a total loss. The only benefit of the firefighter was that the fire was put out sooner than it would...

Multiple New Whelen Lights (With Videos)

Why is it not for use with the Mirror Beam platform? Additionally, why won't it sync with the Mirror Beam platform? Would it work to run the Mirror Beam and this product off a ULF44?

    All About Flashback

I have found that flashback diminishes the closer the light head is to the windshield. I have a DashMiser 3 on the dash which is not more than a quarter inch from the windshield. Because of this, I have very minimal (if any) flashback.

How are you alerted to calls?

We use a combination of text messaging and VHF high band for pagers and back-up alerting (we use the US Digital station alerting and text-to-speech synthesis on VHF; just recently dropped the patch from 800 to VHF). We will also be looking into various alerting packages such as Active 911 and...

    Code 3 PSE Triumph Lightbar

I find it interesting that they reference a "traffic advisor" and not an ArrowStik (their brand of directional arrow.) Also, I believe that Whelen has trademarked the term Traffic Advisor. Reference
