LP6000 55w fast rotator to slower rotator speed

If you have either of the two motors on the bottom right, they are the same motor. the speed is changed by the gear. White is slow, black is fast. no tools needed. Use your thumb to press the motor gear toward the rotator gear so it doesnt slip, grab the "arm" of the rotator (that the filter...

    Code3 Model 3600 remote siren manual/wiring

I have them in paper form but I can scan them and send to you. It's been a minute or two since I looked at them. I'll first have to locate the book and then I'll scan. I'll also take a couple of pics of a PDC for you.

    Code3 Model 3600 remote siren manual/wiring

That's a 3600-A-7. Did you ever find the manual you were seeking? I have one if not. You are missing the power distribution centers. That model used two of them. One for the slide switch and one for the push buttons. Each PDC had 4 relays. The PDC for the slide switch used 3 relays for...

    Need Code 3 Stingray help

Two things to consider. These modules don't like dirty power. Only use a well filtered power supply or a 12v battery ONLY. They do all kinds of weird things when powered by a battery charger. If you want to change the sweep radius switch the brushes on the sides. If you look at them closely...

2017 Suburban HD Secret Service version Install

I'm getting a 2017 Suburban HD that is the SS version Suburban. It will be used for a Battalion Chief vehicle. It's not a PPV or a civilian model so I'm not quite sure what to expect as far as install goes. Does anyone here have any experience with these? I'm also looking for input on how...

    Lightbar Rotator Speeds

SAE requirements... In order to meet the required light output for a 360 degree warning system, the rotators could not spin so fast because it would be a less effective signal. So in order for a bar to meet SAE the outboards would have to be standard and all others could be whatever you wanted...

    Code 3 XL Off Road?

Nope. Factory job. Back in the late 80's Code-3 offered a line of off-road lights with all of their warning features available as well. Mainly used 100 watt H-1's as someone has already mentioned. I think the reason that the dome looks like more of a matte finish is due to weathering...

    Code 3 Model 420 with D-Tech Rotators???

Here's my MX with D-Techs. I use it for fire responses. Contrary to all of the negative comments here, it is very effective. I have all slow motors and often run just the four D-Tech rotators. Here is my excalibur beacon This is my factory 420

Why Do Most Ambulance grille Lights Flash Simultaneously Instead Of Alternate?

I'm pretty sure that it's the KKK spec pattern. Grill lights on with white center light, alternating with red outer box lights.

    Excalibur technical question

The small rotator filter holds in heat by design. You will eventually see signs of them melting. If you have the means, it is definitely better to use the 1/2 cylinder filters instead of the rotator filters. The 1/2 cylinder filters allow better heat dissipation and they will make your...

What fits in a Code 3 LP mini bar?

You can put 2 Stingrays in there, 1/2 cylinder filters for the rotators, You can put a stingray on one side oscillating to the end with the other a rotator, You can put the little LP "old style" alley lights in there, I will try to remember more and add to this list as I remember.

    Coating on MX7000 domes?

The hard coating was available in all colors too. If you look at the flat inboard side of the lens it should have a date tag affixed to it. Clear tag with black numbers. That is the date of manufacture. Code warrantied them for 5 years after that date. The coating worked well to keep bug...

    Force 4 XL

These are called "Front Access Lens Clips" The clips were used for allowing the dome to be removed when the bar was mounted on an ambulance where the rear dome screws were not accessible due to lack of clearance. You would remove the front 3 screws and then lift the dome up in the front and...

Correct bulb for solar ray model 18 bulb question

Is it 6 or 12 volt? edit... DUH nevermind. Its definately a fluted bulb. The beam is like a fog light pattern, wide (side to side) and narrow (top to bottom). The beam pattern is what gives the flash effect. Mine is a 6 volt so it wont help you.
